Files, drivers etc.: ODBC driver resources 2004-04-08 -- Gavin Webb Newsgroups: softvelocity.clarion.databasedrivers Just thought people would like to know this: I have recently needed to connect to a very old Sybase database from my Clarion app. I used a driver from www.datadirect.com - it worked very well. I used the "wire" driver which means you don't need to load the database client onto the client machine. I have also tested the MS SQL driver and that works great too. I also have Oracle clients out there where I use the Oracle driver (which is a pain as you need to load the Oracle client) - whereas datadirect have a "wire" driver for Oracle too - I shall convert them over. Works very well for me - the documentation is excellent which makes it easy to work out what the connection strings need to look like in order to build DSN-less connections.
