On both NT4 Server or Win2k you have to edit the Registry and make these changes Windows NT4 Server HKKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/LanmanServer/Parameters EnableOpLocks= 0 (hex - DWORD) EnableOpLockForceClose= 1 (hex - DWORD) CachedOPenLimit= 0 (hex - DWORD) ---------------------------------------- Windows 2000 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MRXSmb\Parameters\ OplocksDisabled = 1 (hex - DWORD) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters EnableOplocks = 0 (hex - DWORD)
