Par2: "Freezing" last column in a browse
2009-04-15 -- Ron Eisner

Add a new column to the far right of the LIST. Select a LONG, any LONG you already have available in your table or local or global variables. Really, any LONG will do. You can even make a new local variable, maybe call it "DUMMY_LONG" or something, if you don't have a LONG to choose. Now, in the Listbox Formatter, set the Data Picture for that LONG to be "@p pB" (that's "@ppB"). (This is the main trick; following are additional optional things that "improve" the effect). Uncheck any flags on it, such as Right Border or Resizable. Under the Appearance tab, set the color of both Background and Selected Background to COLOR:INACTIVECAPTION (or other favorite color). That's it, you are done - and now that "dummy long" will show up as "blank" and its look will simulate being the "far right edge" of the list. Meanwhile, your intended "last field" will scroll and size more "naturally".
