Par2: Keeping window on top
1998-04-21 -- Frank Piscopo

I've come across many instances where Clarion users try to solve the problems they come across by looking for a solution somewhere other than the Clarion language without looking at the Clarion manuals / on-line help first. It's like buying a rear-windscreen defrost heater for your car without bothering to look at your dash to see if you can find a button labelled "Rear Defrost". I will not list all the cases that I know of; the primary purpose of this post is to appeal to all fellow Clarion users not to overlook Clarion's built-in features so much and try not to re-invent the wheel every time. A case in point which has been on the agenda quite often recently is how to bring a window "on-top". Solutions given included API calls, LIB calls, and what not. SCREAM! SCREAM! SCREAM! Take a look at this: MyWindow{PROP:Active} = 1 For those who haven't yet noticed, THIS IS PURE AND SIMPLE CLARION CODE!!! Maybe the simple things in life are easily overlooked!
