string depending from value type:

Quote  PROCEDURE (? V)  ! returns STRING type
  CODE
  IF  ISSTRING(V)
    RETURN '''' & CLIP(V) & ''''
  ELSE
    RETURN CLIP(V)
  END

and use it to build filter expressions.
